The short version
PageTidy checks only the web page you explicitly ask it to inspect. The check runs locally in your browser. The early preview does not send page content, results, or browsing activity to us or anyone else.
What we collect
The PageTidy early preview does not collect, store, sell, or transmit page content, browsing history, personal information, analytics, usage events, authentication information, or payment information.
If you contact support
If you choose to email us, your email provider and ours will process your address and message so we can read and reply to it. PageTidy itself does not collect this information, and we do not use support messages for advertising or sell them.
Why Chrome asks for permission
PageTidy uses Chrome's activeTab permission to access the current page only after you click “Check this page.” It uses the scripting permission to run the checking code on that page. PageTidy does not run continuously in the background.
Future changes
If a future version introduces optional accounts, payments, or analytics, this policy and the product will clearly explain what changes before any information is collected.
